  • A TENS will send electrical impulses to the electrodes placed on your back. This will:

    1. Flood the brain with nerve signals - meaning the brain may be too 'busy' to receive pain messages.

    2. Release Endorphins.
      These are your body's natural pain relief and feel good hormone.

    3. Distract you.
      Giving you something else to focus on and knowing you have something to help is beneficial for your mindset during labour.

    4. Give you control.
      You are in full control of your pain relief, you can turn it up, down and use that beautiful Boost button whenever you like.

  • Check your private health insurance, as some comapnies offer a rebate on TENS Hire. You may need a letter of support from your medical practitioner.

  • Collect from Pooraka (or agreed location) or postage available within Australia for $10.00

    A pre-paid and pre-addressed postage satchel is included in your hire to make returning your Elle TENS after birth as simple as possible so you can focus on your precious baby.

1. Instructions for using the Elle TENS Plus will be provided with your hire. You must read and use the machine according to the instructions.

2. It is your responsibility to ensure that the hire product is returned in good order with all parts (except single use electrodes.)

3. If the machine is damaged by accident or misuse, you may be liable for replacement or repair costs. Please inform immediately. 

4. If TENS is not returned by agreed hire date you may be charged for extra time. 

5. Liability for the Elle TENS Plus remains with the manufacturer.
